Sister Isles Rock Iguana conservation research
Jul 25th, 2008 | By admin | Category: Director's BlogSister Isles Rock Iguana conservation research – a talk by Matthias Goetz…. for those of you in Grand Cayman, Matt Goetz from the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust (one of the BIRP’s international partners) has been on Little Cayman these last 2 months. On Wednesday 30th, 7pm at the Brasserie Conference room at Cricket Square, Matt will show pictures and discuss the findings of his project, which is now in its second year. All are invited, entrance is free.
The Sister Isles Rock Iguana is unique to Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. Matt’s research is intended to provide information leading to conservation planning for these iguanas, in hopes of pre-empting their decline to the near-extinct state our Blue Iguanas experienced on Grand Cayman.
The Brasserie has very kindly donated the use of theor conference facilities for the occasion!
