Human Involvement in the slaughter

May 16th, 2008 | By | Category: Director's Blog

Following a Royal Cayman Islands Police press release the day before yesterday, much confusion has ensued about the extent of human involvement in the slaughter of Pedro, Sara, Yellow, Digger, Jessica, Eldemire and Matthias. One thing is very clear to me, and to my colleagues at the Department of Environment and the National Trust, and that is the crime scene was totally inconsistent with a wild dog attack. Human agency was almost certainly at work, even though bites from a large dog were the probable cause of death for some of the vicitms at least.

So, we are distributing the Cayman Crime Stoppers poster and hoping the $11,000 rewards brings out some leads!
