Like most people in Cayman, Appleby employees were outraged by the recent killings of the Island’s much–loved Blue Iguanas at the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park.

In response, and in an effort to support the Blue Iguana Recovery Programme, Appleby approached the National Trust and asked if they could sell Blue Iguana merchandise in the firm’s library during one lunch hour.

This event allowed employees to purchase posters, cards and T–shirts featuring a Blue Iguana; many chose to wear the T–shirts the following day for an emergency dress down day where employees donated money so that they may wear casual clothes to work for one day.

The money raised from the dress down day will be used to name and adopt an iguana.
